Just when I was about to convert to a clarity phreak...Pendulum had to come.
Seriously,I love their bass and I now am considering on a headphone/IEM(more to this) with adequate bass.

First step into electronica rock eh ? :D

I guess i really have to get the Atrios...But they look fragile.Ah well.
I shall audition more at Jaben tomorrow with a fellow Jabenite.

Thank this band so much for making me re-love bass.

Band touring and Singapore

Come on,you know many people are getting into rock and metal now. Can't we just have like some of those peformances here? Notice,Singapore has a very limited range of genres of live musical peformances.

Yes I know, pop is very popular in Singapore and if i told you the genre metal you may not have even heard of it.But I strongly believe there are many metalheads and headbangers out there.

Take the leap of faith, invite some overseas bands here.We can always cancel the peformances if response is bad(I doubt so).

Once the masses in Singapore has been exposed to these kinds of music,i'm sure they will become more popular in Singapore and then we can all enjoy a wider range of music genres.

Win-win situation yeah ~

Invitation to product reveal of the Sennheiser HD800!

Today Sennheiser called me while I was in class.I picked it up for fun and found out it was them. They arranged a timeslot for me to go and attend the reveal of the new Sennheiser HD800!

They will be sending me a very nice plastic with white embossed wording invitation card.I found some pictures online. It seriously looks very nice(the card) and it comes with the HD800 advertisement DVD too !(no use for it also lah).

I should be receiving the card soon(by mail) and I will post pictures.Anybody else going on 6 June , 2:45PM?

Now i need to find my way into their place at Mohd Sultan Road...

I shall bring my D60 there to shoot pictures also :D

VirtualDJ

It's fun to a certain extent..because you can change the pitch of the songs, speed, effects and sync 2 songs together using the crossfader.Oh yeah, you can also record the songs mixed too. There is alot of functions but haven't explored them.I shall go get some rap songs in and mix them next time :D

Only bad thing is,it's very difficult to turn the vinyl using a mouse, much less to say the trackpad on my small small Axioo Pico Netbook.

You can get it here : http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html

General Impressions - Graham Slee Voyager

The Graham Slee Voyager(Pictured here with my iPod 5G)

One fine friday,I was down at Jaben to test the GoVibe Martini when one of the staff there handed me a Graham Slee Voyager after he asked me for my musical taste and he said " try this."
Being a relatively conservative person,I don't really think of trying things I cannot afford, but nonetheless, since it was already on the table I might as well try it.

Being in the $500+ range,I would classify this under the higher end range of portable headphone amplifiers.First impressions when you hold it.UGH,bulky and big.The LED and knobs are also not of the best design and quality.Much less to say,the plastic looks common and inexpensive. But what's hidden inside is the real gem.

Somehow my i fantasized that i was holding a Lisa III but hey what, that was meant to be a joke.Hah.

Ok,Lisa III fantasies aside, this amplifier really shines in terms of the sound quality.Pardon my humble rig,i am really low on finances.Anyways, the setup is as follows.
iPod 5.5G 30GB > Crossroads iDock > Stock IC > Graham Slee Voyager > Alessandro MS-1

When i plugged it in,i had to take a few seconds to find the on-off switch.Yeah the design is quite simple but there is actually switches at the sides.

Soundstage - I was awe-struck at the soundstage improvements.I felt like my MS-1 was deprived of all it's soundstage when the Graham Slee Voyager was in play. The soundstage improved tremendously and I really felt like i was in the concert itself.Tried on songs from Robbie Williams - Live at Knebworth at 320kbps MP3.

Bass - It improves and makes the bass less fatigue to listen to,it also controls the bass and lightens it on my MS-1,but to a certain effect i loved it.

Mids and Highs - It tames the highs for those heavy metal guitar solos which makes listening more enjoyable and comfortable. As for the mids,it really smoothens it alot..I don't think I have heard anything better as of yet.

Despite being a guy who is conscious about design,I really loved the sound signature of the Voyager and guess what,I may be putting it along the line as my next amp upgrade after the Martini.

Of course,I will buy it in a bundle or 2nd hand when someone sells it .I heard these things needs long hours of burn in . Like in the high hundereds of hours so I guess a second hand will be better.

The people down at Jaben told me to try for the best, the RSA Mustang.I shall try someday and of course, give my impressions.

If you are aiming for the 2nd hand Graham Slee Voyager,do watch out at sale forums such as Jaben's.But don't hold your hopes too high,2nd hand deals for this amp are hard to come by.I don't think many people are willing to let these babies away :D
